Easy Repair
Second switch to need replacing on my Jenn Air downdraft range. Easy DIY repair. I'll be back when the next switch goes!

easy replacement
phillips screwdriver only tool required, easy replacement. Switch seems cheesy for heat/abuse it must withstand...my wife broke it cleaning, replacing knob, metal clips on switch slipped, allowing unit to fall apart inside console...oven is ten years old...

Switch shaft broke off
Was very good. I removed the screws from the switch panel and switch, with phillips screw driver and changed wire connectors from the old switch to the new switch and installed new switch in the front panel and reinstalled the panel.

The broiler went out years back, saw signs of burnt wires around the stove opening areas, replace the element(s), top and bottom and some wiring, still never worked right, nor has the temp probe. Recently the broiler came on and the stove went into panic mode and shut down, hit the panel switch to reset/recycle came on and within minutes the broiler is going full on, bottom not so much. Again recycled the switches ...still regardless of setting on temp and in bake or the convection settings, the broiler is coming on full blast . and goes into panic shutdown. so, is this repairable and how? i do not want to re-pipe another jennair, nor any other down-draft.
For model number JES9860BAS
Hi De,
Thank you for your inquiry. In this situation I would check the electronic control board, the temperature sensor and both the broil and bake elements to see which parts are causing the issue. If you cannot find the issue I would recommend you contact a technician to see what is going on. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
