Timer would not shut dryer off.
A few screws out of the back of the top panel, pulled the dial off. Removed two more screws and the timer assembly came off. Then I just matched the color wires one at a time to the same spots on the new assmbly.

Had to replace the timer assembly.
Remove the two scews that held it in place. Pulled the element out far enough to replace it. I left the old part on so as not to get confused by which wire went where, and just replaced the part. Very easy.

Timer on Dryer no longer working
The timing unit on the dryer no longer worked. I ordered a replacement timing unit which arrived in 3 days; followed instructions that came with the washer dryer combo and removed panels, replaced the timing unit and successfully tested. The installation of the replacement part took 35 minutes.

Hello Henry, Thank you for the question. If the dryer does not start and the timer knob is not turning like it is going through the cycle, I would recommend replacing the timer switch. hope this helps!

When replacing the timer on a Kenmore 500, I fit the wires onto the new timer in the exact locations as on the old one. Do the wire connectors have to be turned the same way on the new timer as on the old one? (the wire connectors have open and closed sides). If it matters, how do i correct them? The dryer will not start.

Hi Tony, the wires are put on the same way the old timer was on. I would check your thermal fuse, make sure the venting system is not clogged with lint, check the door switch, start switch and motor. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. If the Timer is defective it can not start the Cycle, therefore not allowing the Dryer to start. We hope this helps!

I have a Frigidaire clothes dryer, model #fde336res2. i'm noticing parts of clothes are frequently getting scorched. The timer knob doesn't advance. the dryer works, but i have to use an external kitchen timer to time the drying. Would the lack of a functioning timer cause scorching?

Hello Steve, thank you for contacting us. It does sound like the timer needs to be replaced since it is not advancing properly. This should fix the scorching issue as well. Hope this helps!

I had a dryer timer that wasn't advancing. I bought a replacement for the timer and a new knob. The timer advances, but the start stop positions now aren't in sync. With the markings on the dryer. The dryer timer can only be installed in one position. Is there a way to remedy this problem? 1) timer knob for frigidaire dryer part #134011703 2) frigidaire Kenmore dryer timer #131062300 3) frigidaire dryer model number fde336res2

With regard to the dryer knob issue posted a few moments ago, i specifically went to your website last month before i purchased this knob. According to your website, the manufacturer's part number for this knob is: 134011703. That is the one that i purchased and that is noted in my earlier post. The alternative number that you posted is one and the same.

Hi Steve, Thank you for contacting us again. That would be correct. When looking behind your knob, there is a D-shaped hole. The flat side should be pointing downward when you are installing that part. If it is off perhaps either your timer is not in the correct position or the part is defective. I would suggest calling our customer service so that one of our agents can look at your order with you. If your part is defective, we have procedures to help get you a working part. Good luck with your repair.

The photos for this part do not match the part from my machine but the part number does. Is this just because the photos are not updated for each part? Can you verify this part will fit my machine?
